The San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane (Saint Charles at the Four Fountains), or better, San Carlino to say it like the Romans do, is Francesco Borromini’s baroque masterpiece in Rome. I happened to enter the church by accident, following a group that had a private tour inside, so I had little time to take some pictures before they had me kicked out. Still, I was able to take a moment to gaze in awe at the beautiful ceiling of the central oval dome.
